Are You Overlooking Ways to Make Money From Blogging?

If you’re trying to make money from blogging, it can often become overwhelming as there are so many options available from affiliate income to creating your own product that you can easily overlook ways to make money blogging. I find that it’s when you think outside the box that you come up with some great ideas towards monetizing your blog which ultimately means we need to be careful not to overlook possible opportunities.

I’ve written before about how affiliate income is a great way to make money from blogging. It can be simple as finding a product you like and sharing it with your readers.

Did you know that you can take those efforts to the next level and reach out to companies you like and ask if they’ll give you their product for free if you do a review for them? If your blog is big enough or reaches their target, then this is a great option to pursue. There have also been bloggers who’ve had companies sponsor them to attend conferences. All it takes is asking, though be warned that it does take some work and is generally easier said than done at times.

If You Make Money From Blogging Then People Want to Hear From You

To be fair, this is more of an option when you have an established and well known blog. That said, another option to make money from blogging is from speaking engagements or personal appearances. While it may sound impossible or unattainable, let me assure you that it certainly is possible. To inject a little bit of reality in this, it does take time and a lot of hard work to get to this level – but don’t overlook it as it can be potentially a nice way to make money from blogging.

Starting a Second Site

Blogging can take time, and a lot of it. There are many things to balance, especially if you have a family and you may be asking why would you want a second site? Well, if you’re wanting to make money from blogging you can argue that the more sites you have the better chances you have to grow your blogging income.

While starting a second site may sound impossible, it can be done if you automate a lot of things – such as social media which can free up your time to work on other things. Since you already have experience starting a blog, you know what works for you and what doesn’t, which can save you time in the long run. I will caution that starting a second site does mean more work and time, but it could also allow you to possibly focus on another niche and potentially improve your chances to make money from blogging.

Great post and content.. Just found your site the other day been looking for other bloggers.

One thing I’ve done to make money online is to use a method called ‘Other Peoples Lists..

Basically what you do is to reach out to other bloggers, ask if you can run a solo ad in their newsletter promoting yourself or your product…

Of course product, content etc. has to be similar but that way you not only get people signed up to your list you can follow up on, you might also get a few sales through which cover the expensive you spend on buying the solo ad..

    Again keep it up.. :)

    Great article.
How about becoming a “professional’ blogger and do guest posts for $. Find a blog that you really like, get to know the owner and become friendly over time. When you feel the time is right, let him/her know that you are a professional blogger and would like to do a post for money – all they can do is say No!!!

It is just an awesome post on Blogging. Blogging is a wonderful way to make money online and it can help you pay your bills. There are an unlimited number of topics that an individual could blog about, including sports, politics, health, finance, spirituality, money, food, and shopping. Individuals who blog can make money in several ways, including through the sale of eBooks on their site. Additionally, individuals who blog make money by listing advertisements for other people on their websites.

You’re right there. Many people think it’s almost impossible to make money from blogging, or they think only ‘super humans’ can do it. Most of them give up just at beginning because they stuck at some problems at start which cause setting up the first blog and other problems they didn’t see before. But if they’re just a little persistent they would see it’s not that hard to make a first blog.
Of course if you want to monetize it there is a next level of hard work; getting the traffic, returning visitors etc. Blogging can really pay off, and there are working methods for this as you said affiliate marketing, PPC and many other methods.

Thanks for the article and have a great day,
    Luke

Thanks for the great post. I’m always learning new ways to monetize my blog in different ways. Can you be more specific about reaching out to companies? What position in the company do you typically contact? This is a great idea!

The second site isn’t working well for me, because the first one takes all my time. LOL

Being a reviewer is extremely rewarding; I’ve been reviewing books and curricula for almost 5 years now and I love it. Since I was in my teens I’ve been taking notes on books, and writing about them is one of my passions. As a homeschooling mom, I’ve also translated that into reviewing curriculum.
