You are 100 percent right, Tanya. And there are so many different niches to choose from. I always tell people to just follow their passion, what they are interested in, and then provide information that others would be searching for/find useful.
My blog is in the “work at home” niche, and it’s a topic that I already have a genuine interest in and would probably research whether I had a blog or not, so working on it doesn’t feel like “work.”

I actually have two blogs, and I think I’ve been focusing my attention on the one that has the least chance of being profitable. My niche blog is a sewing blog that I use to showcase some items that I make to sell. The blog that I spend most of my time writing is about “anything and everything”. Great advice! We are learning this slowly but surely! In our case, we changed the focus of Christian Mommy Blogger to gear toward eMinistry blogging. At Intentional By Grace, we’re praying through how to “branch off” so we can carve out some clear niches. Right now, it’s all over the place.
